Historical Relevence
The time period in which Pride and Prejudice was written was a time period where Gender, Social Class, and other factors affected the world around them. Women were looked at as a trophy and had to marry into wealth if from a low class family. The bennet sisters all have to marry into wealth in order to survive and this just gives us a tiny glimpse of the time period itself.
Setting
The setting of this book is based in rural england in the the 17th century. The time period is what makes everything come together. It gives the readers a better look at life back then. It shows the changes society has made over the course of all these years.
